Well that's a wrap on the 2013 IBABC Convention and boy was it an excellent event!
This year it took place in Whistler BC at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler (I know what you are thinking.... sounds pretty terrible). On Thursday a gentleman by the name of Nick Batistic presented a session on the B.C Building Code and Bylaws. He was excellent and informative! That evening there was an elegant gala with delicious gourmet food, entertainment and prizes!
On Friday we got to attend a Strata Symposium. The panel of experts we exceptional and made the conversation very interesting at the expense of one another! After a lunch the trade show began. Our booth was a big hit, our staff was very engaging, and people loved the ServiceMaster tape measures we were giving away.
On Friday night it was the Insurance companies turn to blow us all away, and did they ever! Each taking a room and making it into a unique experience for the guests… My favorite was definitely Optimum West's Candyland experience. :)
We enjoyed seeing all the familiar faces and meeting the new ones as well!
